Bar Harbor, Maine (June 27, 2023) - Bar Harbor Bank & Trust will be the presenting sponsor for the 2023 Bar Harbor Garden Tour, the biennial event organized by the Bar Harbor Garden Club that is scheduled for July 15. This year’s event theme will be “Gardens by the Sea” and will showcase six local gardens, including two located along Bar Harbor’s iconic Shore Path. Proceeds from the tour will fund ongoing support for many food and educational programs for Mount Desert Island residents.

Organized in 1934, the Bar Harbor Garden Club has more than 100 members who work together to promote the love of horticulture; protect and preserve natural resources; provide educational opportunities; contribute responsibly to civic and environmental needs; and enjoy the fellowship of its members. The club’s numerous community projects including improving food security, underwriting greenhouses in MDI schools, funding garden preserves, and offering education programs and scholarships that benefit students and families. The garden tour is the club’s largest event fundraiser.
