Jason Edgar holds the position of EVP President of Bar Harbor Wealth Management and Bar Harbor Financial Services. These organizations are a subsidiary of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust where he is a member of the Senior Executive Team. Jason joined the organization in 2019 and works in our Concord, New Hampshire office.
Jason earned his Bachelor degree from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Connecticut. While at UConn, Jason was named a university scholar athlete and twice named a Big East Academic All Star. He served as the baseball team’s Co-Captain in 1998 and was a member of UConn’s Captains Council, an organization tasked with community engagement. Upon graduation, Jason was drafted by the Texas Rangers and played professional baseball. After playing minor league baseball, Jason began his wealth management career working for one of Boston’s oldest firms, Tucker Anthony. In 2006 Jason was named Vice President - Portfolio Manager for Sovereign Bank’s Wealth Management group in Boston. In 2014, Jason was hired by Berkshire Bank Wealth Management where he helped oversee the investment process and the bank’s expansion of wealth management. Jason was named Chief Investment Officer and Director of Wealth Management for Berkshire Bank, a position he held until 2019 when he came to Bar Harbor Bank & Trust.
With over twenty years’ of industry experience, Jason leads the wealth management and financial services teams in setting and achieving their long-term goals. The primary focus is ensuring clients are provided the right tools and advice to meet their investment, trust, retirement, estate and philanthropic planning needs.
Jason is invested in his community through his active involvement with a number of nonprofit organizations.
